Interest…The drunk friday night version.

My house is a wreck. It is not a wreck, that is not even fair. I think I have a urinary tract infection. Sorry this is late Raymond but hell man, sometimes I get busy.

Go.

  • MF Doom, hip hop extraordinaire and general villain, currently lives in Kennesaw, Georgia. How is that for hard, the suburban sprawl?
  • Otis Redding died before he ever heard the finished version of Dock of the Bay, his most popular and well accepted song.
  • Tu Pac appears in the film Nothing but Trouble as a back-up singer in his first musical group Digital Underground wearing a New York Mets Jersey. California Love?
  • Lynn Straight of the band Snot had his dog Dobbs appear on the cover of their album Get Some. Lynn and Dobbs later died in a car accident.
  • The Radiohead song High and Dry is about Evel Knievel and his inability to maintain an erection.
  • The Pearl Jam song Jeremy is based on Jeremy Delle who shot himself in front of his class on Jan. 8, 1991 in Richardson, Texas.

I have fallen off the wagon. For the record.

The wagon isn’t a great place to be on in the first place; so don’t sweat it.

Jerry: I was in the men’s room the other day and they had the hand blower, instead of the paper towels, you know this thing. I like the hand blower I have to say. It takes a little bit longer, but I feel when you’re in a room with a revolting stench you want to spend as much time as you can.

Dick: The only stench is comming from you.

    Audience: Oooooh.

Jerry: Oh, wait a second, I believe we have a heckler ladies and gentlemen. Hey Dick I don’t know what your problem is. It’s not my fault you’re back on the wagon.

    Dick: It’s off the wagon.

Jerry: In the old days how do you think they got the alcohol from town to town?

    Dick: I don’t know.

Jerry: On the wagon. Don’t you think they broke into a couple of those bottles along the way?

Dick: You can’t drink on a wagon it would be too bumpy.

Jerry: They had smooth trails. What about the Cumberland Gap?

Dick: What the hell do you know about wagons?

Jerry: I know enough not to get on them.

At the end of the episode.

Jerry: But in a way, I think I inadvertantly turned this guy into an alcoholic. I hate being around alcoholics because they’re either telling you how much they love you or how much they hate you. And those are the two statements that scare me the most. But I think he’s okay now because I have no idea how he feels about me. He’s finally off the wagon.

Dick: You mean on the wagon.

Tu Pac was in Digital Underground up until (I think) “Sons of the P.” I’m sure he’s floating around in the video for “the Humpty Dance.” Also, “Nothing But Trouble” is easily in the top 10 of worst films ever made.

Funny… I was just talking about “Nothing but Trouble” the other day. And, I must take issue with this Mike character, because “Nothing but Trouble” is an awesome movie, in the crappiest way possible. I mean… I realize I only like crappy movies. But I always think of that movie scene whenever Digital Underground is brought up in conversation.
